Senior Project Manager Meter Data Management System (Remote)

Senior Project Manager Meter Data Management System

Location: Remote

Type: Long Term Contract

Key responsibilities include:

• This position will be leading Meter Data Management System implementation projects from initiation and scope, through requirements gathering, planning, implementation, and close out, focusing on process, documentation, and communication.
• Manage multiple integration points and vendor integration partners.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and on-going communication.
• Identify and develop risk mitigation plans.
• Using hands-on and a proactive approach to ensure that value is delivered - with full responsibility for all aspects of a project including managing milestones, identifying and tracking issues and risks, and driving the team to meet project goals.
• Partner with business on establishing operations support center.
• Contributing to the team by participating in solution definition and removing roadblocks
• Surfacing challenges that require cross team coordination or leadership intervention prior to them impacting scope, cost or the timeline.
• Establishing a good cadence for communicating outside the team including conducting effective meetings for the given audience by managing the agenda, running the meeting and communicating/tracking follow-ups.
• Helping the team in identifying development opportunities and challenging the team to actively work on improving their performance.
• Managing budgets, forecasts and vendor teams.
• Ensures project or framework specific governance is implemented.

• Strong and proven experience in complex meter data management system implementations with multiple integration points and vendor management

• Excellent experience in dealing with C-level executives

• Ability to identify potential risks and provide proactive mitigations

Education/Experience

• Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field or relevant experience
• Must have experience in applying waterfall framework
• Must have strong experience in managing large, complex projects
• Training and certifications in traditional project management and/or agile methodologies is preferred
