Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Backbase Developer / Implementation Lead to design, develop, and implement digital banking solutions using the Backbase Engagement Banking Platform. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Backbase implementations, microservices architecture, and enterprise integrations.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop digital banking journeys (Retail, SME, Corporate, Wealth) using Backbase.
• Customize Backbase front-end components (Angular/React widgets, theming, UI/UX).
• Develop backend services and integrations using Java, Spring Boot, and REST APIs.
• Integrate Backbase with core banking systems, CRM, payment gateways, and third-party services.
• Participate in architecture and solution design ensuring scalability and security.
• Work in Agile/Scrum teams, collaborating with product owners, QA, and stakeholders.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and manage deployments on Kubernetes/OpenShift/Cloud.
• Troubleshoot production issues and perform performance tuning.
• Follow Backbase best practices and security standards.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to documentation.

Required Skills:

• 12+ years of experience in Java/Spring-based development.
• 5+ years of hands-on Backbase experience.
• Strong knowledge of Backbase platform (Journeys, Widgets, Microservices, Entitlements).
• Experience with Angular or React, HTML5, CSS3.
• Strong backend experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs.
• Experience with OAuth2 / OpenID Connect security.
• Integration experience with core banking systems and external services.
• Hands-on with Microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift.
• Experience in digital banking domains (payments, onboarding, lending).
• Strong Agile/Scrum experience.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Backbase Professional Services or certified partners.
• Knowledge of Backbase Banking OS / AI platform.
• Banking/financial services domain experience.
• DevOps tools: Git, Jenkins/Azure DevOps, SonarQube, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK.

Education:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).
