Temporary Associate Electrical Controls Engineer. This entry-level Electrical Engineer (Programming & Controls) role focuses on assisting with the development, programming, and integration of automation technologies. The position supports control system design and PLC/HMI programming.

This position reports to our Director of Enterprise Applications and is based out of our office in Lonoke, Arkansas.
You will: - Assist in developing and programming automation solutions using C, C#, C++, and Python.
- Support PLC programming and troubleshooting (Allen Bradley, Red Lion)
- Help integrate control systems with manufacturing equipment and related software
- Assist in developing HMI screens and operator interfaces
- Participate in testing, debugging, and validating automated systems
- Support documentation efforts including wiring diagrams, code comments, and configuration control
- Aid in evaluating existing manufacturing processes and identifying improvement opportunities
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to support project requirements
- Integrate machine data with MES/SCADA/IT systems for traceability and analytics
- Collaborate with engineering, IT, and operations teams to develop proof-of-concept and scalable solutions.
You have: - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering
- Foundational experience with programming languages such as C, C#, C++, or Python
- Basic understanding of PLC programming concepts (Allen Bradley or Red Lion preferred)
- Exposure to HMI development or industrial communication protocols is a plus
- Understanding of basic electrical and control systems
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
