Cloud Platform Automation Engineer

Azure Cloud Platform Engineer to provide cloud architecture, engineering, automation, implementation, and operational support services across a large scale Azure environment. This role will focus on designing, building, securing, automating, and operationalizing cloud infrastructure that supports Commercial Transformation initiatives.

The successful candidate will help accelerate delivery of Energy Trading and Risk Management capabilities and PlanLogic solutions through scalable cloud platforms, expanded automation, improved governance, enhanced security compliance, and operational excellence.

Onsite in Houston, TX

Responsibilities:

• Provide engineering, implementation, automation, and platform support services within Azure.
• Manage and enhance Terraform Cloud platforms and automation capabilities.
• Provision Azure resources through Terraform and continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines.
• Design, build, and maintain GitHub Actions workflows.
• Administer Azure subscription management processes and governance controls.
• Develop platform automation to improve efficiency, consistency, and scalability.
• Support identity integration and access management initiatives.
• Implement and maintain monitoring, alerting, and operational observability solutions.
• Provide production support, incident response, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
• Manage GitHub Enterprise platform operations and platform administration.
• Partner with architecture, engineering, security, and application teams to deliver cloud solutions.
• Improve cloud governance, compliance, and operational standards across the Azure platform.
• Create documentation, operational procedures, and automation standards. 

Required Qualifications

• Experience designing and supporting enterprise Azure cloud platforms.
• Strong experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices.
• Experience building and maintaining continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines.
• Hands on experience with GitHub Enterprise and GitHub Actions.
• Knowledge of cloud governance, security, and compliance best practices.
• Experience with Azure identity integration and access management.
• Experience implementing monitoring and operational support solutions.
• Strong troubleshooting and production support skills.
• Ability to automate operational and deployment processes using scripting and cloud native services.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across multiple teams.

 Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting large scale cloud transformation initiatives.
• Knowledge of Energy Trading and Risk Management platforms.
• Experience with enterprise platform engineering practices.
