Summary

Title: Data Center EHS Specialist Work Location: New Albany, OH Contract with possible contract extension or hire Pay Rate: $40.00 - $50.00/Hour on W2 (based on experience)

Job Description:
As a Data Center EHS Specialist, you ll play a pivotal role in one of the most ambitious infrastructure initiatives in the country: building the largest data center in the United States. This is your opportunity to lead from the front, overseeing every phase of the construction roadmap and ensuring flawless execution across project deliverables and timelines.
In this role, you ll manage day-to-day operations by applying established PMO standards, processes, and methodologies. You ll drive excellence, safety, and innovation on-site setting new benchmarks for what s possible in modern data center deployment.
Position Details:

  • Hourly position based upon experience & skill level
  • Contract with possible contract extension or hire
  • Standard work hours: 7:00am-up to 5pm (after hours and weekends as necessary)
  • Location: Fully Onsite - Client sites in New Albany, OH

Requirements:

  • Plans and implements safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal OSHA regulations and client's Safety Injury & Illness Prevention Program (IIPP).
  • Develops, implements, and delivers safety and orientation training programs.
  • Inspects facilities to identify existing or potential hazards, recommends corrective measures, and verifies implementation.
  • Maintains safety documentation including audits, inspections, Pre-Task Plans (PTP), Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), and Safety Data Sheets (SDSs).
  • Participates in accident and injury investigations and supports preparation of materials for hearings, lawsuits, and insurance cases.
  • Excellent communication, organization, prioritization skills, and proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
  • Other duties as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2+ year's experience in the construction industry in a similar role. Experience with large structured cabling projects and/or data center construction projects highly preferred.
  • Experience developing and implementing safety programs, conducting hazard mitigation activities, and supporting large-scale construction projects (data center experience preferred).

Preferred professional certifications:

  • OSHA Outreach Trainer Certification for OSHA 10/30 Hour
  • BCSP certification such as ASP, CHST, or OHST, CSP, SMT, SMS, CET, and/or GSP.
