Job DetailsJob Details:
We are in search of a talented and experienced CNC Mill Programmer to join our dynamic engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for programming and operating CNC milling machines to manufacture precision components. This position requires an in-depth understanding of CNC milling operations, including the ability to interpret complex engineering drawings, select and set up tooling, and troubleshoot machining issues. The role involves working with a diverse range of materials and products, requiring a high degree of attention to detail and precision.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop, implement, and optimize CNC programs for milling operations using CAD/CAM software such as SolidWorks and CIMCO.
2. Set up and operate CNC milling machines, including HAAS and horizontal mills, ensuring the production of high-quality components.
3. Interpret complex engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents to plan machining activities.
4. Select and set up tooling, fixtures, and equipment required for CNC milling operations.
5. Monitor CNC milling processes, adjusting and troubleshooting as necessary to ensure the production of precision components.
6. Collaborate with the engineering team to improve machining processes and techniques, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
7. Ensure all CNC milling operations adhere to safety and quality standards, maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
8. Train and mentor junior machinists, promoting a culture of learning and continuous improvement within the team.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years' experience in CNC mill programming, including experience with HAAS, horizontal mills, and Fanuc controls.
2. Proficient in the use of CAD/CAM software, including SolidWorks and CIMCO.
3. Strong knowledge of NC codes, with the ability to interpret and modify NC code as required.
4. Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and technical documents.
5. Proven experience in setting up and operating CNC milling machines, with a strong focus on precision and attention to detail.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex machining issues.
7. Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to train and mentor junior machinists.
8. Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean working environment, adhering to all safety and quality standards.
9. A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field would be advantageous.
