FPGA Engineer

• The FPGA Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing complex FPGA architectures for high-performance applications using Xilinx technologies.
• The role includes RTL development, FPGA prototyping, timing optimization, hardware debugging, system integration, and collaboration with cross-functional engineering teams.

Requirement/Must Have:

• Bachelor s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Extensive experience in FPGA hardware prototyping.
• Experience with Xilinx FPGA devices including UltraScale, UltraScale+, or Versal platforms.
• Strong experience with Verilog and SystemVerilog RTL design.
• Experience with FPGA synthesis, timing analysis, and optimization using Vivado tools.
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills for hardware and firmware issues.
• Experience with board-level bring-up and system integration testing.
• Ability to work independently and resolve complex technical issues.

Experience:

• Experience designing and implementing FPGA architectures for high-performance systems.
• Experience with FPGA prototyping platforms such as Xilinx reference boards and Synopsys HAPS platforms.
• Experience using logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, and protocol analyzers for debugging.
• Experience with simulation, validation, and performance verification of FPGA designs.
• Experience collaborating with hardware, software, and systems engineering teams.
• Experience participating in technical reviews and stakeholder communications.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement FPGA architectures using Xilinx devices.
• Create RTL designs using Verilog and SystemVerilog.
• Perform FPGA prototype design, implementation, and bring-up activities.
• Develop design documentation, technical specifications, and reports.
• Conduct timing analysis, timing closure, and performance optimization.
• Perform board-level bring-up and integration testing.
• Debug hardware and firmware issues using standard test equipment.
• Validate FPGA functionality and performance against requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues independently.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams.
• Participate in design reviews and technical discussions.
• Communicate project status, technical risks, and challenges to stakeholders.

Should Have:

• Experience with Xilinx Versal ACAP or UltraScale+ devices.
• Familiarity with Python or TCL scripting for automation.
• Knowledge of FPGA system architecture and hardware/software co-design.
• Familiarity with high-speed protocols such as USB and PCIe.
• Experience with hardware debugging and board design tools.
