About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join a highly collaborative and technically strong data engineering team supporting a major cloud transformation initiative. This role is critical to the organization s roadmap as the team migrates enterprise data platforms from onprem environments to Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform).
This is a handson, seniorlevel role for someone who enjoys ownership, problemsolving, and building scalable data solutions in a modern cloud environment.
What You ll Be Doing
Design, build, and optimize data pipelines and ingestion frameworks on Google Cloud Platform
Support largescale onprem to Google Cloud Platform cloud migrations
Develop and maintain solutions using:
BigQuery
Google Cloud Platform Dataflow
Cloud Storage
Python
Build and support APIbased and webhookdriven data ingestion processes
Work with large, enterprisescale datasets to ensure performance, reliability, and scalability
Partner closely with other data engineers, architects, and stakeholders on solution design
Participate in proofs of concept and technical evaluations
Provide technical input during candidate interviews and team discussions
Take ownership of projects and deliver solutions with minimal oversight
Required Qualifications
8+ years of experience as a Data Engineer
Handson production experience with Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform)
Strong experience with:
BigQuery
Data pipelines (ETL/ELT)
Python for data engineering
Experience working with APIs, data ingestion, and large datasets
Strong problemsolving skills with the ability to work independently
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Azure (Azure Data Factory or other Azure data services)
Exposure to AWS
Experience supporting cloud migrations or modernization initiatives
Background working in enterprise or regulated environments (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA)
Interest in emerging technologies, including AI and advanced data platforms
