Are you an early career engineer who is passionate about innovation and improving patient outcomes? As a Mechanical Engineer I, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of medical technologies that help restore mobility, enhance quality of life, and make a meaningful difference for patients around the world. Working alongside experienced engineers and cross functional teams, you will build your technical expertise while supporting the full product development lifecycle in a collaborative and growth focused environment.

What will you be doing?
  • Support the design and development of mechanical components, assemblies, and medical device systems
  • Participate in concept development, prototyping, design evaluations, and product improvement activities
  • Create and maintain CAD models, engineering drawings, and technical documentation
  • Assist with verification and validation testing, including test method development, execution, data analysis, and reporting
  • Support troubleshooting activities, root cause investigations, and engineering change implementation
  • Contribute to risk management activities, design reviews, and maintenance of Design History Files
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, Marketing, Human Factors, and R&D teams to support product development and launch activities
  • Learn and apply medical device design controls, quality systems, and regulatory requirements
  • Participate in project meetings and provide technical updates while continuing professional development through training and mentorship

What will you need to be successful?
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
  • 0 to 2 years of engineering experience, including internships, co ops, senior design projects, or research experience
  • Understanding of mechanical design principles and engineering problem solving techniques
  • Experience using CAD software through academic, project, internship, or personal experience, with SolidWorks experience preferred
  • Ability to create and interpret engineering drawings, with exposure to GD&T concepts preferred
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, assembly methods, and design for manufacturing and assembly principles
  • Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and teamwork skills
  • Exposure to testing, data analysis, statistics, or design of experiments through coursework or practical experience is preferred
  • Demonstrated curiosity, attention to detail, accountability, and a willingness to learn in a fast paced environment
  • Interest in healthcare technologies and medical device development
