Summary
Job Title: Java & AI Backend Developer
Location: Toronto, ON Canada – Hybrid
We are looking for a Software Engineer with strong experience in backend development using Java and Spring Boot. The candidate should have hands-on experience with AWS cloud services, along with Python and Databricks for data science and data engineering solutions.
The role also requires experience with JavaScript or TypeScript, edge workers, and CDN-layer computing. The candidate should have exposure to AI and data platforms, including Databricks and ML model registries, as well as modern development tools such as GitHub Copilot and AI-assisted workflows.
Required Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot
- Experience developing and supporting backend services
- Strong experience working with AWS as the primary cloud platform
- Hands-on experience with Python and Databricks
- Programming experience with JavaScript and/or TypeScript
- Experience with edge workers, edge computing, or CDN-layer computing
- Knowledge of AI and data platforms
- Experience working with Databricks and ML model registries
- Experience with GitHub Copilot and AI-assisted development workflows.
