What you will do:
As the IT Governance, Risk and Compliance Lead, you will sit in the Enterprise Security organization under the CISO. The major responsibilities of this role will be broken into two major categories as follows:
Leading Existing IT GRC programs:
This is accomplished through two major functions. First, as a partner bridging the gap between Information Security, Technology, and Line of Business stakeholders it is imperative you are able to build relationships with these stakeholders, and are able to leverage their technical understanding and security expertise to be able to translate for the business so they understand what is being asked and why, and to ensure the right things are being done for InfoSec and overall security. This partnership should generate buy in from bank leaders to support the mission and values of the bank through their engagement with GRC. Additionally, this ensures awareness across business units of security programs and expectations.
Second, you will oversee IT regulatory reviews, IT audits, and Controls testing for the enterprise, prepare reports on findings and remediation plans and actions required. You will stay up to date on existing regulatory policies, regulatory trends, and the impact on the bank as those items evolve and change. Additionally you will support lifecycle of issues management ensuring policies are upheld, and exceptions are properly communicated and reviewed before approval or denial. Last, you will oversee the vendor cybersecurity risk management program for critical business services.
Develop Future IT GRC Best Practices:
This is accomplished by taking the learning done and applying it do the development of new programs. This includes security policy and guidelines and their socialization to ensure the bank evolves with regulations. You will build out standardized documents and processes, including automation where possible, as well as other transformation activities to best support the growth of the bank and ensure the best possible IT GRC Framework adoption.
Skills & Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of IT policy and controls in the financial services industry like SOX, NIST, PCI, etc. - this person will be leading technology focused GRC programs across the enterprise so it is essential they understand those controls, and the specific impact to technology initiatives.
  • Proven ability to work both across multiple stakeholders and teams, and autonomously based on assignment - This role is a critical bridge between IT, InfoSec, and line of business leadership, so needs to be able to communicate across many different personalities, but will also be responsible for taking high level vision or direction and stand up new programs and initiatives.
  • Experience working in an end-to-end GRC program - Because this role will be leading so much of the IT GRC program maintenance and development candidates need to have an understanding of the fully lifecycle rather than being specialized in one specific area. Example, need someone who understand compliance, or policy management, but can't be siloed in that one specific area.
  • Experience across policy management and IT
  • Exposure to Banking or Financial Services industry and controls

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Orleans, LA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $60.00/hr.
