Dealership Software Implementation Lead

Position Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Dealership Software Implementation Lead to manage and support the rollout of enterprise software solutions across automotive dealership environments. This role acts as the central coordinator throughout the implementation lifecycle, working closely with dealership stakeholders, internal delivery teams, and third-party technology providers. The successful candidate will ensure smooth deployments, strong user adoption, and minimal operational disruption during system transitions.

This position combines project coordination, client engagement, and technical enablement, requiring both strong communication skills and comfort working in fast-paced, on-site environments.

Key Responsibilities

Implementation & Delivery Management

• Coordinate end-to-end deployment activities for dealership software solutions, from discovery and planning through go-live and stabilization.

• Track implementation milestones, dependencies, and deliverables to ensure projects remain on schedule and aligned with scope.

• Identify potential risks or delays early and work with stakeholders to develop practical resolution plans.

Stakeholder Coordination

• Act as the primary liaison between dealership leadership, end users, internal teams, and external technology partners.

• Communicate timelines, expectations, and progress updates clearly to ensure alignment across all parties.

• Support stakeholder engagement and encourage adoption throughout the implementation process.

Technical Oversight & Issue Resolution

• Support the installation and integration of dealership-related systems such as finance, inventory, CRM, and operational platforms.

• Monitor implementation quality and ensure solutions align with business workflows.

• Troubleshoot functional or technical challenges and coordinate timely resolution with appropriate teams.

Training & User Enablement

• Facilitate system walkthroughs, training sessions, and knowledge transfer activities for dealership users, both onsite and virtual.

• Provide hands-on guidance during transition periods to build user confidence and system proficiency.

• Adapt training approaches to meet the needs of users with varying levels of technical experience.

Documentation & Process Improvement

• Maintain implementation documentation, configuration notes, and post-deployment feedback.

• Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance rollout methodologies and support models.

Required Qualifications

• Experience supporting software implementations, system rollouts, digital enablement, or technical customer-facing roles.

• Working knowledge of dealership operations, automotive business processes, or enterprise operational systems preferred.

• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

• Willingness to travel extensively (up to 90%) to support onsite dealership implementations.
