Description
The Network Technician keeps the company connected, secure, and fully operational across all manufacturing plants, distribution centers, warehouses, and sales offices. You'll support and optimize the hybrid network backbone-routing, switching, cloud networking, virtual environments, wireless systems, firewalls, and SD-WAN/SASE technologies-ensuring stable and reliable connectivity for the entire organization.
Job Description:
Managing multi-site routing, switching, wireless, and firewalls
Supporting virtual networking (VMware) and cloud networking (Azure)
Monitoring performance with tools like CATO CMA & Wireshark
Handling Level 2/3 escalations for advanced issues
Assisting with rollouts, upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure refreshes
Collaborating with IT leaders and cross-functional teams
Documenting systems, changes, and processes
Traveling between Northern and Southern California sites as needed
Impact You'll Make:
Keep all company sites connected securely and efficiently
Improve performance, uptime, and resiliency across hybrid network environments
Strengthen cybersecurity through firewall updates, SD-WAN/SASE controls, and remediation
Help shape network standards and best practices used across the organization
Diagnose and resolve complex network issues using root-cause analysis
Drive continuous improvement through documentation, optimization, and reporting
Support leadership on high-impact initiatives, infrastructure projects, and modernization efforts
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Education & Certifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or related field
CCNP, CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent
Additional preferred: Microsoft, Linux, VMware, Dell certifications
Networking & Infrastructure Skills:
Hands-on Cisco, Meraki, Dell routers and switches
Wireless networking operations
Physical & virtual hardware troubleshooting
Familiarity with SDPs, firewalls, and security protocols
Network disaster recovery processes
Network monitoring systems (CATO CMA, Wireshark, Meraki Dashboard)
SASE cloud services management
Load balancing, QoS awareness
Understanding of hybrid network security
Experience with virtualized network environments (VMware)
Familiarity with NAS / Dell VxRails
General Experience / IT Skills:
Experience in manufacturing or distribution environments
Windows, Linux, and macOS understanding
AD, DHCP, DNS knowledge
Microsoft 365 networking integration
2+ years IT support or systems experience
Strong documentation & communication skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Cloud & Hybrid Skills:
Cloud networking in Azure
Hybrid cloud environments (Azure + VMware)
Experience moving workloads to cloud environments
Operational & Collaboration Skills:
Vendor interaction and escalation
Training or mentoring junior team members
Participation in upgrades, migrations, and project rollouts
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $72800.00 - $104000.00/yr.
