Description

  • Leading the design, development, and testing of complex systems and components to ensure they meet operational and technical requirements
  • Overseeing the installation, testing, and evaluation of hardware and software systems, ensuring compliance with performance standards
  • Preparing and maintaining detailed technical documentation, including system evaluations, risk analyses, and operation manuals
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, develop solutions, and implement system upgrades
  • Providing subject matter expertise during critical reviews, testing processes, and the preparation of briefing materials
  • Ensuring compliance with DoD standards and policies by testing and monitoring systems' operational readiness and providing feedback on improvement areas

Requirements

  • 10 or more years of experience in an engineering technician role
  • Bachelor's degree in operations research, mathematics, physics, computer science, financial management, or other technical field
  • Demonstrated ability to design, develop, test, and evaluate complex mechanical, electronic, or data processing systems in compliance with DoD standards
  • Skilled in performing advanced troubleshooting and system testing to identify and resolve issues impacting performance and reliability
  • Experience managing projects requiring configuration management, testing, and integration of hardware/software solutions to meet mission-critical needs
  • Possess an active DoD Secret security clearance

Desired Skills

  • Proficiency with advanced engineering modeling tools such as MATLAB, SolidWorks, and AutoCAD for systems simulation and analysis
  • Strong leadership and technical writing skills to oversee teams and prepare detailed technical documentation
  • Experience in implementing quality control protocols and conducting risk analyses to ensure compliance with safety and operational goals
  • Familiarity with secure communication systems and cybersecurity requirements for DoD environments

SRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT, THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AS WELL AS, A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE SECRET LEVEL
