Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Digital Manufacturing (DDM) Consultant with strong expertise in Instruction Tools and Work Instructions within a PLM/Manufacturing environment. The consultant will support a sandbox-based demonstration and training engagement, focusing on creating and showcasing digital manufacturing capabilities without production deployment.
Key Responsibilities
Work Instructions & Instruction Tools
Configure and demonstrate Instruction Tools for digital work instructions
Develop and showcase Work Instructions for manufacturing processes
Enable Product Build-Up Panel for step-by-step assembly visualization
Configure displaying and navigation of work instructions for end-user usability
Demonstrate best practices for digital work instruction authoring and consumption
DDM Functional Scope Coverage
The consultant will contribute across the following Digital Manufacturing areas:
Manufactured Item Definition 100 hours
Planning Structure 100 hours
Process Planning 100 hours
Equipment Allocation 50 hours
Work Instructions 75 hours
Total DDM Scope: 425 hours
Deliverables
For each work package, the consultant will be responsible for:
PowerPoint-based training/tutorial materials
Virtual demonstrations of configured capabilities
Knowledge transfer documentation, including:
Q&A discussions
Key learnings
Next-step recommendations
Scope Conditions (Important)
Engagement is strictly sandbox-only for demo and training purposes
No ERP integration required
No production-grade data migration, cleansing, or cutover planning
No full Change Management (CM) implementation
No enterprise rollout or production support
Required Skills & Experience
Strong experience in Digital Manufacturing / DELMIA / 3DEXPERIENCE (3DX)
Hands-on expertise with:
Work Instructions authoring tools
Instruction Tools configuration
Manufacturing process planning
Experience with Product Build-Up and shop floor visualization tools
Ability to create training materials and conduct virtual demos
Strong communication skills for knowledge transfer and stakeholder engagement
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in sandbox/demo-driven PLM implementations
Exposure to manufacturing engineering workflows
Familiarity with eBOM to mBOM transitions (nice to have)
