Oracle WMS Lead Consultant – Automotive

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Oracle Fusion Cloud WMS Lead Consultant to lead WMS implementation and support for a global automotive manufacturing company.

The consultant will work on warehouse and plant-logistics processes such as receiving, putaway, inventory, replenishment, picking, packing, shipping, kitting, Kanban, JIT/JIS, and line-side delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead WMS workshops and understand business requirements.
• Design current and future warehouse processes.
• Configure Oracle Fusion Cloud WMS.
• Set up warehouses, locations, zones, inventory, tasks, picking, packing, and shipping.
• Design RF/mobile and barcode scanning processes.
• Manage lot, serial number, LPN, container, and inventory tracking.
• Support automotive processes such as:
  • JIT/JIS
  • Kanban
  • Line-side replenishment
  • Kitting
  • Sequencing
  • Cross-docking
  • Returnable containers
• Work with Oracle Inventory, Order Management, Manufacturing, Procurement, Transportation, EDI, and integration teams.
• Support data migration and system integrations.
• Prepare process documents, test scripts, training materials, and SOPs.
• Lead SIT, UAT, integration testing, device testing, and go-live activities.
• Provide production support and post-go-live optimization.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of WMS/warehouse implementation experience.
• 3+ years of Oracle Fusion Cloud WMS implementation or support experience.
• Strong knowledge of receiving, putaway, replenishment, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory management.
• Experience with WMS configuration and RF/mobile transactions.
• Automotive OEM, Tier 1, JIT/JIS, or plant-logistics experience.
• Knowledge of Kanban, line-side supermarkets, sequencing, kitting, and returnable packaging.
• Experience with barcode scanning, labels, LPNs, lot/serial tracking, and inventory traceability.
• Strong communication and workshop-management skills.
• Ability to travel within the United States.

Preferred Skills

• AS/RS, conveyors, WCS, RFID, pick-to-light, voice picking, or AMRs.
• Transportation, ASN, carrier integration, dock scheduling, and yard operations experience.

Ideal Candidate: A hands-on Oracle Fusion WMS consultant with strong automotive warehouse and plant-logistics experience who can lead the project from requirements through implementation, testing, go-live, and support.
