NOC Technician II

Qualifications

• 2 3 years of hands-on IT networking or technical support experience in an enterprise, MSP, or service provider environment
• Associate Degree in Information Technology, Networking, or related field (or equivalent technical training / experience)
• Experience supporting enterprise switching, routing, Wi-Fi, and firewall environments in multi-site networks is strongly preferred
• Certifications
• Cisco CCNA or equivalent networking certification required (Examples: Cisco CCNA, Juniper JNCIA, Aruba ACNA, or equivalent enterprise networking certification)
• Preferred Certifications
• Juniper (JNCIA-Junos or higher)
• Aruba (ACNA / ACMP)
• Ruckus RCNI (or willingness to obtain)
• CompTIA Security+
• Fortinet NSE / firewall training
• Endpoint security or enterprise MSP platform certificationsSkills & Attributes
• Task-oriented individual with excellent communication skills and professional demeanor
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
• Strong troubleshooting mindset with a willingness to learn and ask questions
• Valid driver s license and ability to pass background screening
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating with engineering staffRoles & Responsibilities
• Follow established processes and procedures to document, track, and report incidents and service requests
• Monitor Auvik / PRTG alerts and perform first-level investigation and triage
• Update tickets, perform troubleshooting, and communicate with customers to drive issue resolution
• Utilize vendor documentation, knowledge bases, and internal resources to resolve technical issues independently
• Perform bulk configuration tasks and routine operational changes when required
• Escalate complex issues to NOC Manager or Engineering team when appropriate
• Support network, firewall, Wi-Fi, and MSP platform troubleshooting across customer environments
• May be required to travel for customer deployments or equipment delivery
• Actively pursue additional technical certifications and professional development
• Maintain clear documentation and contribute to the internal knowledge base within the HelpDesk ticketing system
• Collaborate with engineering staff to build lab environments and test new technologies
• Utilize automation tools to improve monitoring, reporting, and operational efficiency
• Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours support
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds when moving equipment or shipments
• Primary attendance will be in-person, with possible future remote work days
