Position: Software Engineer - Unreal Engine (C++)

Overview
We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality software solutions that solve complex business and mission-driven problems. In this role, you will work across the full software development lifecycle, applying engineering best practices and modern development tools to build reliable, scalable applications. The ideal candidate has strong expertise in Unreal Engine and advanced C++ programming, with experience developing performance-critical and logic-intensive systems.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, document, test, debug, and maintain software applications using C++ and
Unreal Engine.
Translate business and system requirements into efficient, maintainable software solutions.
Apply appropriate software development standards, processes, and tools throughout the development lifecycle.
Analyze system capabilities, requirements, and constraints to determine optimal software design and implementation approaches.
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects and performance issues.
Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications and operating instructions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including system users and stakeholders, to ensure solutions meet functional and performance expectations.
Ensure software quality, reliability, and compliance with established engineering standards.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
4-6 years of professional software development experience.
Advanced proficiency in C++.
Hands-on experience with Unreal Engine for application or game engine development.
Strong understanding of software design principles, data structures, algorithms, and debugging techniques.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience developing real-time, simulation, or high-performance applications.
Familiarity with software lifecycle methodologies such as Agile or iterative development.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work on complex, logic-driven systems.
Experience writing clear, maintainable, and well-documented code.
