Position Summary
  • Design, analyze, and implement physical systems and structures by applying technical expertise in engineering principles, mechanics, and problem-solving to design and construct physical components, perform calculations, conduct tests, and contribute to project execution.
  • Play a key role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and efficiency of physical engineering projects.

What you will do
  • Develops and implements strategic plans to enhance mechanical engineering processes within the healthcare organization, ensuring efficiency, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.
  • Manages and oversees the design and development of mechanical components, systems, and equipment, ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Adapts existing mechanical engineering processes, identifying areas for improvement, cost reduction, and enhanced productivity.
  • Counsels cross-functional teams, including research and development (R&D), manufacturing, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless integration of mechanical engineering processes throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Implements systems to conduct risk assessments and implement appropriate mitigation strategies for mechanical engineering processes, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and regulatory guidelines.
  • Designs and develops industry leading improvement initiatives, utilizing methodologies to streamline workflows, reduce waste, and enhance overall process efficiency.
  • Continually reviews mechanical engineering schematics and layouts to ensure compliance with required specifications.
  • Handles communication and collaboration with external vendors and partners, overseeing the selection, qualification, and management of mechanical engineering suppliers to support project objectives.

Required Qualifications
  • 7+ years work experience in a mechanical engineering role
  • Adept at problem solving and decision making skills
  • Adept at collaboration and teamwork
  • Adept at growth mindset (agility and developing yourself and others) skills
  • Adept at execution and delivery (planning, delivering, and supporting) skills
  • Adept at business intelligence

Preferred Qualification
  • Prior work experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment

Education
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Specialized training and/or relevant professional qualification preferred

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$82,940.00 - $182,549.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
