Summary

We are seeking an experienced DevSecOps Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and securing cloud-native applications in AWS GovCloud. This role integrates development, security, and operations to deliver scalable, compliant, and automated infrastructure supporting mission-critical systems in a federal environment.

Position Responsibilities

·        Design and manage secure, scalable AWS GovCloud infrastructure across multiple environments (dev, test, staging, prod)

·        Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform

·        Build and manage CI/CD pipelines with integrated security controls

·        Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions (e.g., CloudWatch, Splunk)

·        Enforce security best practices and ensure compliance with federal standards (e.g., FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST)

·        Support containerized deployments using Docker and Kubernetes/ECS

·        Optimize system performance, reliability, and availability

·        Develop disaster recovery and business continuity strategies

·        Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams and provide training/knowledge transfer

·        Drive continuous improvement in DevSecOps processes and cloud operations

Position Requirements

·        Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)

·        5+ years of experience in DevOps/cloud engineering; 3+ years with AWS and 1+ year in AWS GovCloud

·        Strong expertise in AWS services, cloud security, and compliance frameworks (FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST 800-53)

·        Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and scripting (Python, Bash)

·        Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitLab) and version control (Git)

·        Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS)

·        Knowledge of networking, IAM, and cloud architecture best practices

·        Experience with monitoring/logging tools (CloudWatch, Splunk)

·        Familiarity with automated testing and DevSecOps practices

·        Strong collaboration skills and experience working in Agile environments

·        Federal experience and tools such as XACTA 360 are a plus
