Position Title: ETL Developer

Location: Chicago, IL
Work Model: Onsite – 3 days per week (No exceptions)
Duration: 9 months to start (strong likelihood of extension)

Position Overview

Our client is seeking a highly skilled ETL Developer with strong experience in Snowflake, DataStage, and Oracle/SQL Server environments. This role will play a critical part in the migration of legacy data workloads to Snowflake and the modernization of enterprise data platforms.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building, optimizing, and supporting ETL pipelines, with strong data engineering fundamentals and the ability to collaborate closely with application development teams.

Local candidates in Chicago/Illinois are strongly preferred. Relocation may be considered for exceptional candidates.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL workflows and data pipelines

• Lead migration of legacy data workloads from Oracle and SQL Server to Snowflake

• Build and optimize Snowflake data models and workloads

• Develop solutions to support source system replacements

• Collaborate with application development teams to deliver high-quality, scalable data solutions

• Ensure data integrity, performance optimization, and compliance with NT standards

• Troubleshoot and resolve data pipeline and performance issues

• Support production data environments and ongoing enhancements

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake

• Experience with ETL development using DataStage (preferred)

• Solid experience with Oracle and/or SQL Server databases

• Strong SQL development skills

• Experience with Python scripting (heavily preferred)

• Experience with data migration and modernization projects

• Understanding of data warehousing concepts and best practices

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience migrating enterprise data platforms to Snowflake

• Performance tuning and query optimization expertise

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
