Business Information Solutions Designer Lead

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Business Information Solutions Designer Lead in Chicago, IL. This position can be worked hybrid out of the Chicago or Birmingham office or remotely from a US-based home.

Responsibilities:
* Partner with business leaders to understand goals and identify data opportunities
* Design logical data structures that align with business processes and strategy
* Collaborate with technology teams to implement data solutions
* Serve as a subject matter expert on business data in projects and transformations
* Create and maintain focused data assets (e.g., marts, reporting layers)
* Support data analysis by translating analytical needs into data requirements
* Facilitate communication between business and technology teams
* Evaluate results to ensure solutions drive business value

REQUIREMENTS:
* Degree in a technical or business field; Combination of both is a plus
* 5+ years in data-centric roles (analyst, developer, architect, consultant)
* Experience functioning as or closely supporting an Agile Product Owner, including backlog management, prioritization, and working with cross-functional teams
* Data modeling and experience with Data Platforms (Snowflake, Oracle, etc.) is a plus
* Proficiency in SQL
* Excellent communication skills across disciplines and comfortable presenting to executives and operational leaders
* Detail-oriented, collaborative, and business outcome-focused
* Comfortable with ambiguity and change
* Experience with Python is recommended but not required
* Strong understanding of data and business architecture, with P&C Insurance and Auto Claims experience preferred

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
