Summary
Position: Design Engineer – Structural
Location: Pelzer Point, South Carolina, USA
Key Responsibilities:
Develop structural and mechanical designs, schematics, and construction drawings.
Perform static, dynamic, seismic, and structural load calculations.
Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, thermal, and architectural engineering teams.
Ensure compliance with applicable local, state, federal, and national building codes.
Support thermal transfer calculations and equipment specifications.
Develop welding procedures, inspection specifications, and structural load testing procedures.
Collaborate with fabrication teams to validate construction processes and maintain quality standards.
Provide engineering support for module manufacturing and on-site activities.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Hands-on experience in mechanical and structural design.
Proficiency in AutoCAD / Autodesk tools.
Experience with construction drawings and equipment specifications.
Knowledge of building codes, static and dynamic calculations, and structural load testing.
Experience coordinating designs across multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Preferred Experience: Structural and seismic design, module manufacturing, industrial equipment fabrication, welding inspection, structural testing, and quality control.
