Job Overview:
We are looking for a consultant to perform the following:
A. Document Process Maps of Critical Functions
i. Collaborate with Risk Liaisons and First Line subject-matter experts to gather policies/procedures
ii. Review and assess existing process maps, if available, and lead discovery sessions and walkthroughs to understand current workflows
iii. Create and document detailed process maps / workflows of complex processes in a standardized format that will help align workflows with industry best practices
iv. Identify risks, controls, opportunities for process improvements (e.g., gaps, automation capabilities)
B. Develop a document for how client should go about transitioning the ownership of process maps to First Line, this includes:
i. Training document for First Line teams – highlighting best practices in process mapping and creating self-service guidance
ii. Cadence for refreshing process flows
2. Process mapping will encompass comparison of client critical functions to industry best practices (i.e., are risks/controls complete and appropriate)
3. Final deliverables must include:
A. Detailed process maps of critical functions
B. Recommendations to streamline business processes and enhance overall operational effectiveness (i.e., are there gaps in risks/controls, inefficiencies, or opportunities for automation)
C. Training document for First Line teams
Required qualifications:
Minimum Experience
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Risk Management, Securitization Operations, preferably within financial services, or equivalent experience.
• Proven work experience as a process analyst or similar role, experience in business process analysis, workflows, and process mapping.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
Specialized Knowledge & Skills
• Mastery of process mapping tools such as Microsoft Visio
• Demonstrate ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, exemplifying a strong team player attitude, take ownership of deliverables, and drive assigned tasks to completion, in a timely manner
• Project management skills to oversee the documentation of business processes, managing timelines, and stakeholder expectations effectively
• Excellent documentation skills and attention to detail
• Strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with various stakeholders, explain complex processes in an understandable way, and gather necessary information for process analysis
