Department Overview
The North America Solutions Deployment and Integration Organization delivers solutions to the public safety market (911, Police, Fire, EMS). The team delivers products and solutions that make our customers the best they can be in Solving for Safer. The Data Conversion team migrates/converts historical customers' data into Motorola Solutions products.
Job Description

Motorola Solutions is looking for Intern candidates with data-driven development experience, including an understanding of software development and deployment. In this role, candidates will build/maintain data migration and conversion tools, test scripts. Candidates need the ability to collaborate, prototype, design, and implement data conversion solutions. The successful candidate will be able to perform system integration of data migration solutions for our customers and also have the ability to work with customers to fulfill the business objectives and end-user expectations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Candidate currently attending Bachelor's degree
• Knowledge of Technical/software development understanding.
• Knowledge in software development; Knowledge in C#, XML, Python, and .NET technologies preferable
• Knowledge with SQL database design (MS SQL (preferred), Oracle, MySQL or PostgreSQL)
• Knowledge in SQL Query Design and Implementation
• Understanding of object-oriented coding and design,
• Able to troubleshoot and debug issues.
• Knowledge to create Project's overall quality strategy and modify as-needed basis.
• Should be able to summarize findings clearly through the use of reports and other written artifacts.
• Good communication skills and the ability to communicate technical strategies to end user.
• Experience with Agile software development, project management and business analysis practices is a plus.

This position is subject to working in high-security areas governed by the US Department of Justice's "Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy" and therefore requires successfully passing a more stringent fingerprint background check administered by Motorola Solutions Inc. customers

This position is a remote Internship position and candidates can be located anywhere in the US.

Basic Requirements

Required Skills:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Technology with a graduation date on or after Dec 1, 2026.
• Must be able to obtain a background clearance as required by our government customers.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.
