We are seeking an experienced ADP Enterprise Payroll Consultant to support a complex, high-volume payroll environment using ADP Workforce Now and ADP Manager. This role will focus on diagnosing and remediating recurring payroll preview issues related to pay period and work date misalignment, particularly for overnight and weekend labor in a daily in-house payroll processing model.
The consultant will serve as a trusted advisor, combining deep payroll process knowledge with ADP system configuration expertise to design sustainable, long-term solutions. This is an ongoing engagement with flexibility for remote or hybrid work.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze recurring payroll discrepancies during Payroll Preview, specifically misalignment between dates of work and dates of pay
Assess current time capture, approval, and payroll processing workflows, with emphasis on overnight and weekend work scenarios
Review and optimize ADP Workforce Now payroll configuration, including pay periods, earning codes, time policies, and payroll calendars
Partner with payroll and HR stakeholders to identify process gaps, manual workarounds, and system constraints
Recommend and implement technical and process-based remediation strategies to eliminate known payroll errors
Support ongoing payroll operations by providing guidance, documentation, and best practices
Collaborate with internal teams to improve controls, validation steps, and audit readiness
Serve as an escalation point for complex payroll issues requiring enterprise-level expertise
Required Qualifications
5+ years of hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now in enterprise payroll environments
Strong understanding of end-to-end payroll lifecycle, including time capture, payroll preview, and post-processing corrections
Proven experience supporting daily payroll processing models
Deep knowledge of payroll challenges related to overnight shifts, weekends, and non-standard pay periods
Ability to translate business payroll issues into system configuration or process improvements
Excellent client-facing communication and stakeholder management skills
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Qualifications
Experience with ADP Manager and advanced Workforce Now configurations
Techno-functional background spanning payroll operations and ADP system design
Exposure to payroll remediation or stabilization initiatives
Consulting background supporting large or multi-entity organizations
Familiarity with payroll audit controls and compliance considerations
