Summary
Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Senior SAP FS-RI Consultant with strong expertise in SAP FS-RI (Reinsurance Management) and the Insurance/Reinsurance domain. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in configuring and supporting treaty and facultative reinsurance processes, reinsurance accounting, SAP S/4HANA Finance integration, and end-to-end production support.
Key Responsibilities
• Analyze business requirements and deliver SAP FS-RI functional solutions.
• Configure and support Treaty & Facultative Reinsurance (Proportional & Non-Proportional).
• Set up and maintain reinsurance contracts, treaties, sections, and participation structures.
• Support premium calculations, estimations, claims, recoveries, commissions, settlements, UPR, and reinstatement premiums.
• Ensure accurate reinsurance accounting and integration with SAP S/4HANA Finance (FI-GL, FI-AP, FI-AR) and SAP FS-CD.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
• Troubleshoot posting errors, reconciliation issues, and document flow discrepancies.
• Prepare functional specifications, configuration documents, and support SIT, UAT, and production deployments.
• Collaborate with Finance, Actuarial, Business, and technical teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Support interfaces between SAP and non-SAP systems and perform basic ABAP log/debug analysis.
• Participate in change management, transport management, release activities, and knowledge transfer.
Required Skills
• 6+ years of SAP experience with 3+ years of hands-on SAP FS-RI SAP S/4HANA Finance (FI GL, FI AP, FI AR) experience.
• Strong expertise in SAP FS-RI configuration and support.
• Deep knowledge of Treaty & Facultative Reinsurance.
• Experience with Proportional & Non-Proportional Reinsurance.
• Expertise in Ceded & Assumed Reinsurance.
• Strong knowledge of Contract/Treaty setup and Participation Structures.
• Experience with Premium Calculation, EPI, UPR, Reinstatement Premiums, Claims, Recoveries, Commissions, and Settlements.
• Strong understanding of Reinsurance Accounting principles.
• Experience integrating SAP FS-RI with SAP S/4HANA Finance (FI-GL, FI-AP, FI-AR) and SAP FS-CD.
• Experience supporting SIT, UAT, Production Support, and Release Management.
• Ability to analyze posting logic, reconciliation issues, and document flow.
• Experience preparing Functional Specifications and working with business stakeholders.
• Basic ABAP debugging and log analysis knowledge.
• Insurance/Reinsurance industry experience is mandatory.
Preferred Skills
• SAP S/4HANA implementation experience.
• Agile/Scrum project experience.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience mentoring junior consultants and supporting offshore teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
