Pay Range: $35 - $40/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and upgrade SQL Server instances.
- Monitor database performance and implement tuning strategies.
- Manage database backups, restores, and disaster recovery plans.
- Implement and maintain database security (roles, permissions, encryption).
- Troubleshoot database issues and provide root cause analysis.
- Automate routine DBA tasks using scripts (T-SQL, PowerShell).
- Collaborate with developers for query optimization and schema design.
- Maintain documentation for database configurations and processes.
Key Requirements and Technology Experience:
- Must have skills: SQL DBA, Automation, Azure SQL, AWS RDS, T-SQL, PowerShell.
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- 5+ years of hands-on SQL Server DBA experience.
- Strong knowledge of T-SQL, indexing, and query optimization.
- Experience with Always On Availability Groups, replication, and clustering.
- Familiarity with cloud database services (Azure SQL, AWS RDS) is a plus.
- Good problem-solving and communication skills
