Lead Software Engineer

Role Summary
A lead software engineer is responsible for designing and developing custom technology solutions across diverse industries. This role involves leading small teams, managing complex projects through all phases of the software development lifecycle, and collaborating directly with clients to address business challenges. Responsibilities

• Lead small development teams, providing technical guidance and mentoring to help teammates develop their skills and careers
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex software problems for clients, ensuring high-quality standards
• Manage end-to-end project execution, including requirements gathering, system design, development, testing, and deployment
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to develop custom solutions based on business needs and technical specifications
• Explore and implement emerging technologies such as cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), AI, IoT, and machine learning
• Develop applications using various programming languages including Python, .NET, Java, JavaScript, and SQL
• Build modern web applications utilizing frameworks like React, Angular, Vue, and Redux, and develop mobile solutions for iOS and Android
• Integrate AI tools strategically to enhance client solutions, improve efficiency, and provide insights while managing ethical considerations
• Present technical findings, demos, and solutions to stakeholders and senior executives
• Participate actively in a hybrid work environment, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development
• Engage in community service, team events, and social gatherings to promote a collaborative workplace culture

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in software development
• Proven experience in technical leadership, including coaching team members, estimating tasks, and project planning
• Client-facing or consulting background highly preferred
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to create innovative technical solutions
• Adaptability to various responsibilities and environments, balancing multiple priorities effectively
• Excellent communication skills to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Bachelor’s Degree in MIS, Computer Science, Math, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience

Publishing Pay Range: $50.00 - $60.00 hourly
This position offers a hybrid schedule, with time split between office and remote work.
