Business Systems Analyst (Bsa)
Baltimore, MD Hybrid: 4 days onsite / 1 day remote (flexible on which day is remote)
Contract Length- Initial 6-month contract with strong likelihood of extensions (historically extended up to 18 months)
Client is seeking a Business Systems Analyst to support internally developed applications and third-party vendor platforms. This role serves as the bridge between Technology, business stakeholders, and external vendors, ensuring applications remain secure, compliant, properly configured, and aligned with technology standards.
This is a hands-on BSA role with a strong focus on application support, access management, vendor coordination, incident management, reporting, and operational ownership rather than purely requirements gathering.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage user onboarding and access requests across multiple applications
- Support day-to-day administration of vendor and internally developed applications
- Review incidents, vulnerabilities, and access management issues
- Partner with vendors on enhancements, configuration changes, and issue resolution
- Gather and document business and system requirements
- Participate in audits, compliance reviews, and technology governance activities
- Create reports and dashboards using Power BI
- Track work and requirements using JIRA
- Act as a liaison between business users, technology teams, and vendors
Must-Have Qualifications
Critical
- 2-3+ years of Business Systems Analyst, Systems Analyst, or Application Support experience
- Power BI experience
- Data visualization/reporting experience
- JIRA experience
- Experience supporting business applications
- Strong stakeholder communication skills
- Ability to quickly learn new applications
