Epic HB Analyst

Location: 100% Remote

Duration: 3-Month Contract (Potential for Extension)
Position Overview

Our healthcare client is seeking an experienced Epic Hospital Billing (HB) Analyst to support Epic implementation and build activities. This role will work closely with operational and technical teams to design, configure, test, and maintain Epic HB functionality. The ideal candidate will bring strong implementation experience, independent problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of revenue cycle workflows.
Required Qualifications
  • Epic Hospital Billing (HB) Certification required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of Epic HB implementation and build experience.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting Epic implementations, upgrades, and optimization efforts.
  • Strong understanding of hospital revenue cycle and billing operations.
  • Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into system design and configuration.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Epic Professional Billing (PB) Certification preferred.
  • Experience working in large healthcare organizations or integrated delivery networks.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities
  • Define, build, document, and maintain Epic HB application content and workflows.
  • Develop functional specifications and validate system design with operational stakeholders.
  • Support implementation activities including application build, testing, troubleshooting, and go-live readiness.
  • Collaborate with business users, IT teams, and third-party vendors to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Identify, escalate, and help resolve issues that could impact project timelines or deliverables.
  • Participate in meetings with operational and technical teams to support ongoing initiatives and enhancements.
  • Create and maintain system documentation, workflow diagrams, testing scripts, standard operating procedures, and user guides.
  • Stay current on Epic application enhancements, new functionality, and industry best practices.
  • Successfully complete assigned projects and meet deadlines while working independently with limited supervision.
