Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CATIA / DELMIA Automation Developer with CATIA Component Application Architecture (CAA) experience to develop, customize, and enhance engineering and manufacturing applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with CATIA V5 CAA development, CATIA and ENOVIA automation, API integration, GUI development, and programming using C++, C#/.NET, VBA, or CATScript.

The role involves building custom engineering applications, automating CAD and manufacturing workflows, integrating APIs and web services, improving existing codebases, and supporting manufacturing process planning and shop floor operations.

Required Technical Skills

• CATIA CAA: Strong hands-on experience with CATIA Component Application Architecture (CAA), particularly CATIA V5 customization and application development.

• CATIA / ENOVIA Automation: Experience automating CATIA and ENOVIA workflows, product structures, engineering data, and related processes.

• CATIA V5 GUI Development: Experience developing custom graphical user interfaces and engineering applications using CAA V5.

• CATIA / DELMIA Automation: Experience with CATIA V5 or DELMIA automation using VBA, CATScript, VB.NET, or Python.

• Programming Languages: Proficiency in C++ and C#/.NET for custom application development and automation.

• APIs and Web Services: Experience using CATIA APIs and web services to interact with product structures, 3D models, drawings, and annotations.

• Application Development: Strong debugging, troubleshooting, code optimization, and clean coding practices.

• Testing and Validation: Experience with unit testing, debugging, application validation, and user acceptance testing (UAT).

Key Responsibilities

1. CATIA / DELMIA Customization and Automation

• Develop and customize CATIA V5 and DELMIA applications using CAA, VBA, CATScript, VB.NET, Python, or other relevant technologies.

• Build automation solutions to streamline engineering design, manufacturing process planning, and shop floor operations.

• Enhance existing automation tools and develop new functionality based on engineering and manufacturing requirements.

2. CAA Development and API Integration

• Develop custom CATIA V5 applications and GUI components using CATIA CAA.

• Utilize CATIA APIs to access and manipulate product structures, models, drawings, annotations, and related engineering objects.

• Integrate applications with web services, APIs, and connected engineering systems.

• Support CATIA and ENOVIA automation requirements and improve engineering workflow efficiency.

3. Application Enhancement and Performance

• Maintain and enhance existing CATIA / DELMIA automation codebases.

• Troubleshoot application defects, debug complex issues, and optimize performance.

• Apply software development best practices to deliver maintainable, reusable, and reliable solutions.

4. Testing and Quality Assurance

• Perform unit testing, debugging, integration testing, and user acceptance testing as applicable.

• Validate custom applications against functional and technical requirements.

• Participate in code reviews and ensure compliance with established coding standards.

5. Documentation and Collaboration

• Create and maintain technical documentation for custom applications, APIs, and automation workflows.

• Collaborate with mechanical design, engineering, manufacturing, and IT teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

• Support deployment, maintenance, and continuous improvement of CATIA / DELMIA applications.

Required Qualifications

• 5–20 years of relevant professional experience in CAD automation, engineering application development, or related software development.

• Strong hands-on experience with CATIA CAA, preferably CATIA V5 CAA.

• Experience in CATIA V5 or DELMIA automation and customization.

• Proficiency in C++ and C#/.NET.

• Experience with CATIA APIs, web services, and custom GUI development.

• Experience automating CATIA and/or ENOVIA applications.

• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

• Good communication skills and the ability to work with engineering and manufacturing stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Mechanical design knowledge and familiarity with CAD engineering workflows.

• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, version control, and DevOps practices.

• Exposure to Python or VB.NET for engineering automation.

• Experience supporting manufacturing process planning, production workflows, or shop floor applications.
