Accounts Receivable Specialist

Title: Accounts Receivable Specialist
Duration: FTE
Rate: $55,000-60,000 + benefits
Location: Boca Raton, FL, CA (onsite)

Seeking an A/R Specialist to support billing, cash application, account reconciliations, and collections within a fast-paced construction environment.

Responsibilities:

·        Process invoices, apply payments, maintain accurate customer accounts, and support timely collections to help maintain strong cash flow.

·        Process customer invoices, including progress billing and contract-based invoicing

·        Apply customer payments and update account records accurately

·        Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on outstanding balances

·        Reconcile accounts and resolve billing discrepancies

·        Maintain customer account information and payment history

·        Prepare AR reports and assist with month-end close activities

·        Communicate with customers regarding invoices, statements, and payment status

·        Support billing documentation and compliance requirements as needed

Requirements:

·        2–5 years of Accounts Receivable, billing, or accounting experience

·        Experience with invoicing, payment processing, and collections

·        Experience using ERP/accounting systems (Sage, TimberScan, or similar preferred)

·        Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

·        Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Outlook - Excel VLOOKUP and Pivot tables

·        Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple priorities

Preferred:

·        Construction or project-based accounting experience

·        Experience with lien releases, retainage billing, or contract billing

·        Experience in a high-volume, multi-entity accounting environment
