Primary Role Summary

SAP FICO Architect is responsible for end-to-end design, implementation, and optimization of SAP Financial Accounting (FI) and Controlling (CO) solutions to align with enterprise business strategies.

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables

• Architecture & Solution Design: Lead the design of global SAP FICO target architectures, ensuring seamless integration with S/4HANA core, supply chain, procurement, and sales modules (MM, SD, PP).
• Blueprint & Business Process Alignment: Translate complex financial requirements (General Ledger, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, Cost Center Accounting) into scalable SAP solutions and blueprint documents.
• Global Configuration & Customization: Oversee and execute complex configurations in FI (GL, AP, AR, AA, Bank Ledger) and CO (CCA, PCA, Internal Orders, Product Costing, Profitability Analysis - CO-PA).
• S/4HANA Migration & Transformation: Lead greenfield implementations or brownfield migrations to SAP S/4HANA Finance, leveraging Universal Journal (ACDOCA), Central Finance, and Fiori apps.
• Cross-Functional Integration: Manage critical integration points with external systems (banks, tax software like Vertex/Avalara, billing systems) and internal SAP modules (SD, MM, EWM, PP).
• Governance & Compliance: Ensure all financial designs comply with statutory requirements, US GAAP / IFRS standards, and internal corporate governance frameworks.
• Stakeholder Management & Leadership: Act as the primary trusted advisor to CFOs, finance directors, and business stakeholders, guiding them through best practices and out-of-the-box SAP capabilities to minimize custom development (Z-developments).
• Testing & Deployment Support: Drive System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), data migration strategies, cutover plans, and post-go-live hypercare support.
