Job Title: Azure DataOps Engineer
Location: Hybrid - Montpelier, Vermont.
Duration: 12 Months+
 
Role Overview:
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Analytics, Information Technology, or a related discipline preferred
Certifications Required:

Candidates must provide training certificates for the relevant certifications.

  • Azure AI Engineer Associate
  • Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900)
Certifications Preferred:

Candidates must provide training certificates for the relevant certifications.

  • Databricks Data Engineer Associate (or Professional)
  • Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300)
  • DAMA CDMP (Certified Data Management Professional) or DCAM (EDM Council Data Management Certification)
  • SAFe Practitioner (SP) or Scrum Master (PSM I / CSM)
  • Lean Six Sigma
  • Security+ or ISC² CC
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 6–8 years of experience in data science, data analytics, business intelligence, or DataOps environments
  • Experience supporting health data infrastructure or healthcare analytics projects, preferably in public sector environments
  • Experience applying statistical analysis, anomaly detection, or pattern recognition techniques to structured and semi-structured datasets
  • Experience working with Azure DevOps, Azure Databricks, SharePoint, Power BI, and cloud-based data platforms
  • Experience developing technical documentation such as SOPs, playbooks, and Wikis
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Strong knowledge of data quality, statistical process control (SPC), anomaly detection, and performance monitoring techniques
  • Experience developing dashboards, reports, and operational metrics using Power BI or similar BI tools
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, or similar tools for data analysis, validation, and reporting
  • Experience with metadata management, data validation, and governance practices
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Desired Experience:
  • Experience working with State government or public sector clients
  • Experience with modern data lake environments or medallion architecture
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders
