Job Description:
Join our team in Chicago, IL as a contract Accountant. 
In this role, you will be responsible for managing financial entries and reconciliations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting financial reporting processes. 
This position requires proficiency in generic financial software and strong analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare and post journal entries; review financial statements and resolve discrepancies.
Perform account reconciliations using generic reconciliation software, maintaining documentation and workflows.
Assist with financial reporting, including internal and external reports, and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
Support audit requests and maintain control documentation.
Contribute to process enhancements and automation, updating procedures as needed.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent.
1-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in financial services.
Proficiency in generic financial software and strong Excel skills.
Knowledge of accounting standards and reporting expectations.
Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
