Business Analyst

Description
A public sector client of TEKsystems requires a Senior BA with industry proven experience to analyze design and implement projects. They are using the Yardi ERP system which is focused on property management. This position requires a technical individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills along with the ability to work independently and as part of a diversified team. This individual must have the ability to develop trusted relationships and demonstrate initiative with a focus on customer service. This position will coordinate with other Public Sector IT resources external vendors and Public Sector business stakeholders to implement solutions.

Projects:
1. Remix project which will comprise about 50 of this person's time. Client's Mixed-Income Model MIM defines a financially sustainable and socially inclusive approach to providing perpetually affordable housing across the income spectrum. The model offers a blend of rental prices within each property or financial portfolio which is a Yardi property attribute ranging from deeply affordable to near-market rates-using revenue from higher-priced units to offset the cost of lower-priced ones. This project will analyze design and implement this model in Yardi for the public sector client by converting our existing portfolios and/or adding new portfolios.
2. Implementation of Yardi Forecast IQ Asset IQ and potentially Smart AP
3. Continuous improvement projects in Yardi with specific focus on finance
4. Business Intelligence - we are using Yardi Data Connect and MS Power BI. Through Gov't IT we are building an SQL or Oracle data mart.
Essential Skills
1. Five (5) years recent experience working in the role of a Business/System Analyst;
2. Five (5) years experience collecting, organizing, analyzing, and disseminating significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy;
3. Five (5) years experience in data analysis;
4. Five (5) years experience in business impact and risk and value analysis;
5. Five (5) years experience producing detailed specifications for a development team;
6. Five (5) years of experience with Yardi as a BA/AA, including module implementation;
7. Five (5) years of experience in business intelligence.
Desired Skills
1. Aptitude to work autonomously, make decisions daily with little supervision, and assume ownership over work assigned;
2. The ability to mentor technical and functional resources;
3. Strong customer service skills;
4. Previous work experience in the public sector or large organizations;
5. Strong verbal and written communication skills to communicate both internally and externally with personnel at all levels;
6. Experience leading a team; and
7. Experience in project management, planning, reporting and estimating.
8. Experience in finance

This is a Contract position based out of Calgary, AB.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $80.00/hr.
