Senior Software Engineer (Java)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer Lead to join a high-performing engineering team responsible for developing and supporting enterprise authentication and security solutions. The ideal candidate is a hands-on backend engineer with strong experience building secure, scalable applications and integrating APIs within large enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise backend applications.
• Build and integrate secure RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Develop authentication and authorization components for enterprise applications.
• Implement scalable, high-performance software solutions using modern development practices.
• Work closely with architects, product owners, QA teams, and fellow engineers throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, code reviews, and production support activities.
• Troubleshoot production issues and deliver timely resolutions.
• Contribute to application security, performance optimization, and system reliability initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong backend development experience using Java, C#, or another object-oriented programming language.
• Solid understanding of REST APIs, web services, and microservice architecture.
• Experience developing applications in Linux environments.
• Hands-on experience with container platforms such as OpenShift or Kubernetes.
• Strong knowledge of application security, authentication, and authorization concepts.
• Experience working with enterprise-scale applications and distributed systems.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Identity and Access Management (IAM) or authentication platforms.
• Exposure to financial services, enterprise security, or other highly regulated industries.
• Front-end development experience with modern UI frameworks is a plus.
• Experience working in Agile or SAFe delivery environments.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Agile or cloud-related certifications are a plus.
