Location: Phoenix, Arizona (Remote)
Role Overview
The QA Test Engineer is responsible for leading the end-to-end quality of projects related to customer experience and e-commerce application portfolios. This role focuses on API and integration testing to support the Integration Team. The QA Test Engineer will create test plans for both manual and automated testing of data integration and visualization applications, operating within an Agile methodology to support a Continuous Delivery Pipeline.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, implement, and automate test plans and test cases in an Agile environment.
- Build, execute, and maintain automated test frameworks for end-to-end integration testing.
- Focus on API and integration testing for middleware, including synchronous and asynchronous integrations.
- Create and execute use cases, test cases, negative test scenarios, and security test cases independently.
- Ensure software applications meet functional and non-functional requirements.
- Track and prioritize defects throughout product releases and lifecycles.
- Work with developers and project teams to report and resolve complex issues, demonstrating ownership and a strong QA mindset.
- Participate in all aspects of testing, including functionality, system, regression, and load testing.
- Record and report on testing metrics and follow test documentation standards.
Required Qualifications
Experience:- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in QA/Software Testing.
- Extensive REST API testing experience is a must-have.
- Experience with software automation testing methodologies including regression, functionality, and integration.
- Proven track record of testing complex customer-facing applications.
- Experience testing with systems such as ServiceNow, Workday, or Salesforce.
- Experience troubleshooting distributed systems using application logs and monitoring platforms.
Technical Skills:- Hands-on experience with REST API testing tools such as Bruno, Postman, or REST Assured.
- Knowledge of API testing and OpenAPI/Swagger.
- Experience with event-driven architecture testing (e.g., Kafka, Salesforce Platform Events, AWS EventBridge).
- Understanding of API security testing including OAuth 2.0, JWT, and OpenID Connect.
- Database validation and SQL query development skills.
Education:- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or a related field is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with integration platforms (iPaaS) like MuleSoft or Boomi.
- Cypress automation experience is considered a bonus.
- Experience working in monorepo architectures (e.g., Nx, Turborepo, Lerna).
- Knowledge of accessibility (WCAG) and cross-browser testing.
- Experience with automated integration testing tools such as JUnit, Mockito, TestContainers, or WireMock.
- CI/CD pipeline integration experience using GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins.
