GIS Developer 
We are seeking a highly skilled GIS Developer to design, build, and maintain enterprise-grade geospatial applications for a client in Brooklyn, NY. This is a hybrid role requiring local candidates who can work onsite 3 days per week and attend in-person interviews.

• Work Model: Hybrid, 3 days onsite / 2 days remote

• Schedule: 35 hours per week

• Interview Process: In-person, mandatory for 1st and 2nd round

Role Summary 
The GIS Developer will be responsible for developing and supporting advanced geospatial solutions within an enterprise environment. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with ArcGIS Enterprise, GIS application development, Python scripting, and SQL, along with the ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Mandatory Skills and Experience

• 5+ years of professional software development experience with a focus on GIS.

• Deep knowledge of ArcGIS Enterprise, including:

  • Portal for ArcGIS

  • GeoEvent Server

  • ArcGIS Server

  • ArcGIS Data Store

• Experience building and deploying interactive web mapping applications using:

  • ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript

  • Java / Spring Boot

• Advanced Python scripting skills for geoprocessing and automation.

• Strong SQL skills, including complex spatial joins and queries.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with ArcGIS API for Python for GIS DevOps tasks such as:

  • User management automation

  • Content audits

  • Cloning environments between Dev, Test, and Production

• Strong expertise with ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript 4.x.

• Experience creating custom widgets and working with 3D visualizations.

• Exposure to modern web frameworks such as:

  • Spring Boot

  • React

  • Angular

  • Vue.js

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise GIS applications.

• Configure and support ArcGIS Enterprise components in production environments.

• Build modern web mapping applications and geospatial tools.

• Automate GIS workflows using Python and ArcGIS API for Python.

• Write and optimize spatial SQL queries and joins.

• Collaborate with technical and business teams to deliver scalable geospatial solutions.

Ideal Candidate Profile
