Job Title: QA Automation Tester – Playwright
Location: Houston, TX / Brooklyn, NY
Duration: Long Term

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced QA Automation Tester with strong expertise in Playwright and modern automation testing frameworks. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of web applications.

The candidate should have hands-on experience with Playwright, JavaScript/TypeScript, API testing, and CI/CD integration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
  • Develop reusable automation frameworks using JavaScript or TypeScript.
  • Automate web application testing across multiple browsers.
  • Perform API testing and validate RESTful services.
  • Identify, document, track, and report software defects.
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and QA teams.
  • Integrate automated test scripts into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Execute test cases and analyze automation test results.
  • Maintain test documentation, test plans, and test reports.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and sprint planning.

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance and Automation Testing.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Playwright Automation Framework.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
  • Experience with Selenium or Cypress is an added advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of web application testing.
  • Experience with API testing using Postman or REST Assured.
  • Knowledge of XPath, CSS selectors, and DOM inspection.
  • Experience with Git, GitHub, or Bitbucket.
  • Experience integrating automation scripts with Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies.
  • Experience in defect tracking tools such as Jira.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with cross-browser and cross-platform testing.
  • Knowledge of SQL and database validation.
  • Experience with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber.
  • Knowledge of Docker and cloud-based testing environments.
  • Experience with performance testing tools is a plus.
