The work includes modernization of legacy applications, development of new cloud-native solutions, and implementation of DevSecOps and scaled Agile practices across the organization.

  • Lead system-of-systems (SoS) integration efforts across multiple systems, vendors, contractors, and enterprise platforms
  • Define and govern architecture standards, roadmaps, patterns, reference architectures, and modernization strategies
  • Lead Technical Review Boards (TRBs), architecture governance reviews, and development of architecture artifacts and decision documentation
  • Assess legacy and on-premises systems and define modernization and migration roadmaps to cloud-native architectures
  • Design scalable, resilient, highly available, and fault-tolerant solutions supporting enterprise-scale operations and high-volume processing
  • Define and govern multi-cloud architecture strategies including standards for naming, tagging, integration, messaging, and operational governance
  • Design and govern APIs, messaging systems, event-driven architectures, and distributed integration patterns
  • Ensure architectures align with federal security and compliance frameworks including NIST, FedRAMP, ATO processes, Zero Trust, and secure SDLC requirements
  • Enable full lifecycle DevSecOps integration through architecture supporting CI/CD automation, governance, policy enforcement, and operational controls
  • Support Agile and SAFe/scaled Agile delivery environments by coordinating architecture alignment across multiple delivery teams and workstreams
  • Evaluate and select technologies, platforms, and integration approaches aligned with enterprise modernization objectives
  • Mentor architects and engineering teams while promoting architectural consistency, governance, and best practices

Technical Environment
  • Cloud-native platforms and services (AWS, Azure)
  • APIs, microservices, event-driven architectures, and integration platforms
  • Enterprise data ecosystems, pipelines, and distributed processing environments
  • Infrastructure-as-Code and automation tools (Terraform)
  • CI/CD and DevSecOps toolchains
  • API gateways, messaging platforms, and distributed integration services
  • Agile and scaled Agile (SAFe) delivery environments
  • Delivery and collaboration tools (Git, Jira, Confluence)
  • High-volume, near real-time enterprise processing systems

What You Bring (Requirements)

  • Experience modernizing legacy and on-prem systems into cloud-native and distributed architectures
  • Experience defining multi-cloud architecture strategies, standards, governance, and operational models
  • Experience designing APIs, messaging systems, event-driven architectures, and distributed integration patterns
  • Experience aligning solution architecture with enterprise data platforms, governance frameworks, pipelines, and analytics ecosystems
  • Experience implementing DevSecOps practices including CI/CD integration, automation, governance, and policy enforcement
