Summary

Job Title: Linux Network Automation Engineer
Job at a Glance: Our business supports the entire network infrastructure and we need a coachable professional who has strong networking fundamentals (BGP/OSPF), as well as strong linux server experience.
Location: 4x a week onsite at 1800 Arch St, Philadelphia, PA 19103
Pay Rate: $47-50/hr W2 + optional benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401k)
Duration of Contract: Long-term contract with extension/conversion possibility
Responsibilities:

Support a large-scale production operations environment for vCMTS / RPHY / DAA platforms.
Perform platform stand-up and turn-up activities: Linux system validation, software installation, network/service readiness checks, and operational handoff.
Execute change implementation: upgrades, patching, risk-controlled changes, hardware replacement/RMA coordination, and planned maintenance.
Drive incident response and mitigation during service-impacting events:
- Troubleshoot across Linux, network, and application/service layers
- Restore service quickly, document actions taken, and support post-incident follow-up
Build and maintain automation/scripts (Python/Bash) to streamline operations, standardize workflows, and improve reliability.
Troubleshoot and configure network connectivity and device issues across Juniper / Arista / Cisco (or similar).

Required Skills:

Strong linux server experience.
Strong network troubleshooting fundamentals.
