Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking an Engineer for an onsite position with a Global Biotechnology Company located in New Albany, OH. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This position involves supporting senior staff in the initiation, design, and delivery of automation projects. The successful candidate will employ basic engineering skills to gather user requirements, translate them into technical documentation, and perform field evaluations of existing systems in a GMP-regulated environment.
Responsibilities: - Monitor the daily operations of production lines
- Assist with troubleshooting downtime-related issues
- Manage line improvements and work through CAPAs and deviations
- Support senior staff in the initiation, design, and delivery of projects, particularly for automation-related scope
- Gather user requirements and translate them into technical documentation for execution by third-party firms
- Assist with project definition by performing engineering studies and assessments for automation system installations
- Perform field evaluations of existing systems and provide engineering design recommendations
Requirements: - Master's degree; OR Bachelor's degree and 2 years of experience; OR Associate's degree and 6 years of experience; OR High school diploma/GED and 8 years of experience
- 1-2+ years of hands-on experience in a GMP-regulated environment
- Experience with mechanical systems
- Ability to work effectively in teams
- Strong communication skills
- This is a fully onsite role with standard business hours and occasional overtime as needed
Desired skills: - Previous internship experience
- Experience with automation, computer programming, systems, and/or robotics
- Experience working in an FDA-regulated environment
- Familiarity with maintenance management software (e.g., Maximo)
- Experience with 3D modeling tools such as SolidWorks or similar
- Strong technical writing skills
Pay range: up to $39.14 per hour
