Summary

Our Client is seeking a skilled RPG Programmer with extensive experience in AS400 systems. Experience with VAI ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) software is a big plus. This role will involve developing and maintaining custom RPG applications for all our business needs.

Responsibilities will include:

Develop, test, and deploy RPG programs to customize our VAI software to our specific needs.

Optimize the existing programs for speed, performance, and maintainability.

Debug and resolve issues reported by users or identified through testing.

Ensure that customized programs align with VAI S2K 5.4 best practices and standards.

Maintain the DB2 database add User Defined fields and tables as needed.

Write API integrations as needed, as well as maintaining our existing integrations.

Requirements and Experience:

AS400/RPG experience.

Experience with RPG subfile screen design, development, and maintenance

Familiarity with SQL and database concepts, preferably with DB2 on AS400.

Ability to collaborate with team members on projects.

EDI experience a big plus.

Experience with system integration and data migration projects.
