Overview
As a Senior Sourcing Associate, you will work with a leading organization s Procurement and Sourcing team, focusing on high-performing, execution-focused results in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for managing a high volume of IT sourcing events specifically SaaS, Cloud, and Professional Services ensuring speed and performance are maintained over time. This is a "cradle to grave" role where you will act as a strategic partner to business stakeholders, legal, and risk teams.
Key Responsibilities
Own the full sourcing process for moderate to high-complexity IT and Professional Services requirements, from requirements gathering to contract execution.
Lead robust pricing and contractual negotiations, specifically focusing on SaaS, consulting agreements, and redlining legal terms (MSAs and SOWs).
Manage a concurrent workload of at least 5 to 13 active sourcing actions, including RFPs, RFIs, amendments, and new agreements.
Manage a portfolio of sourcing actions valued at approximately $50M - $55M annually.
Partner with internal stakeholders to interpret and define ambiguous or incomplete requirements while acting as a primary liaison with legal and risk teams.
Maintain internal department metrics related to cycle and lead time, utilizing SAP Ariba to manage workflows and ensure audit-ready compliance.
Required Qualifications
At least 6+ years of experience in strategic sourcing or procurement.
A track record of owning (not just supporting) the full sourcing lifecycle.
Specific experience sourcing IT categories, including SaaS, Cloud, and Professional Services/Consulting.
Mandatory working knowledge of SAP Ariba (minimum 1 year).
Must reside in the DMV area (DC, Maryland, or Virginia).
Preferred Qualifications
Experience managing portfolios in excess of $50M.
Background in private sector sourcing is prioritized over purely federal or government contracting support roles.
Experience leading negotiations against "Big Four" consulting firms or major SaaS vendors.
Relevant professional certifications such as CPSM, PMP, or CPCM
