Key Responsibilities
🔹 GL Design & Architecture
● Lead the end-to-end functional design of the S/4HANA General Ledger
● Drive Chart of Accounts (CoA) mapping from Oracle to SAP, including account groups, company codes, cost centers, and profit centers.
● Define and finalize key design decisions on GL code block structure, LOB-based profit & cost center hierarchies, and posting logic
🔹 Data Migration & Reconciliation
● Own the GL data migration strategy, including opening balances, historical data (current year + prior year), and trial balance reconciliation from Oracle GL into S/4HANA.
● Establish a strict reconciliation framework: trial balance, open items, and historical balances reconciled between Oracle and S/4HANA.
Integration & Interfaces
● Collaborate on the design and build of data feed integrations through iterative build and test cycles, including upstream and downstream interfaces (e.g., accounting hub interface from Oracle to S/4, Treasury/Integrity, Google Cloud Platform replication
● Work with the ETL team to ensure successful data mapping of Oracle dimensions to corresponding S/4 entities (cost centers, profit centers, COPA segments).
Required Qualifications
Category | Requirements |
Experience | 10+ years in SAP FICO with at least 3 full-cycle S/4HANA Finance implementations |
GL Expertise | Deep expertise in Universal Journal (ACDOCA), New GL, document splitting, parallel ledgers, and financial close |
Migration | Proven experience in Oracle EBS GL to SAP S/4HANA migrations, including CoA mapping, data conversion, and reconciliation |
CFIN | Hands-on experience with SAP Central Finance architecture, replication, and retrofit scenarios |
Methodology | Strong working knowledge of SAP Activate methodology and quality gate-driven delivery |
Integration | Experience with integration tools (LTMC, LSMW, BAPIs) and middleware/ETL platforms for large-scale data feeds |
Industry | Healthcare/insurance industry experience preferred, particularly with multi-entity, multi-ledger environments |
Certifications | SAP Certified Application Associate — SAP S/4HANA Finance (preferred) |
