Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Cloud Architect to lead cloud computing initiatives and provide architectural leadership across enterprise cloud platforms. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, designing, implementing, and supporting a secure, scalable, and highly available multi-cloud environment. This role requires expertise in cloud infrastructure, AI/data platforms, monitoring, security, compliance, and operational support within a regulated enterprise environment.
The Cloud Architect will collaborate with engineering, infrastructure, data, and business teams to drive cloud strategy, platform reliability, operational excellence, and innovation across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise cloud architectures across Azure and Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform).
- Lead architectural decisions for cloud infrastructure, applications, data platforms, and AI services.
- Support a regulated multi-cloud environment, ensuring security, compliance, reliability, and scalability.
- Architect and oversee monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability solutions across cloud platforms.
- Develop and implement cloud governance, security controls, identity management, and compliance standards.
- Support enterprise data platforms, analytics workloads, and AI/ML environments.
- Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to ensure successful platform operations and issue resolution.
- Design and maintain proactive alerting and notification systems for critical operational events.
- Provide Tier 2/3 support for production issues, platform access challenges, and system reliability concerns.
- Drive automation, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable cloud solutions.
- Participate in 24x7 operational support activities as required.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience designing and supporting enterprise cloud architectures.
- 8+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform).
- 8+ years of experience supporting enterprise AI and Generative AI platforms, including Vertex AI and Gemini technologies.
- 8+ years of experience with cloud monitoring and observability tools, including:
- Azure Monitor
- Log Analytics
- Google Cloud Platform Cloud Monitoring
- Enterprise logging frameworks
- 8+ years of experience using Logstash for log ingestion, transformation, and integration with cloud monitoring solutions.
- 8+ years of experience designing and implementing operational alerting solutions using Twilio or similar notification platforms.
- 8+ years of experience with cloud storage technologies, including Blob Storage, Data Lakes, and structured storage platforms.
- 8+ years of experience supporting enterprise data platforms, data pipelines, analytics environments, and cloud integrations.
- 8+ years of experience with Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS), Secure Agents, APIs, and integration architectures.
- Strong expertise in Identity and Access Management (IAM), network security, audit logging, and compliance frameworks within regulated environments.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex platform issues, analyze logs, resolve production incidents, and maintain platform stability.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience administering and supporting Tableau Cloud environments.
- 3+ years of experience integrating geospatial data platforms and mapping solutions with cloud environments.
- Experience with Python, Bash, and automation frameworks.
- Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and serverless architectures.
- Exposure to Kubernetes platforms (AKS, GKE), Docker, and microservices-based architectures.
- Familiarity with Data Mesh, ETL/ELT frameworks, API integrations, and enterprise data standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound architectural decisions in high-pressure situations.
- Demonstrated ability to take ownership of platform reliability, stability, and operational excellence.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven leadership experience coordinating cross-functional teams and driving enterprise platform initiatives.
