Job Title: Talend Admin with Development Experience

Location: Brentwood, TN (2-3 days onsite)

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

Install and Configure Talend 8.x Platform
Lead the installation, configuration, and setup of the Talend 8.x environment, including Talend Studio, Talend Administration Center (TAC), Talend JobServer, Talend Runtime, and Talend Artifact Repository across development, QA, and production environments.

Infrastructure Setup and Environment Management
Design and managing the infrastructure required for Talend 8.x, including Linux/Unix servers, networking, storage configuration, and environment provisioning, ensuring scalability, reliability, and high availability.

Java and Runtime Environment Configuration
Configure and maintain the required Java JDK (Java 11 or higher) and ensure compatibility with Talend services, including JVM tuning, memory optimization, and runtime performance management.

Application Server and Repository Configuration
Install and configure Apache Tomcat (or equivalent application server) used by Talend components and set up supporting repositories such as NexArtifact Repository and relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MySQL) used by Talend Administration Center.

CI/CD Pipeline Implementation
Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for automated build, testing, and deployment of Talend jobs, ensuring continuous integration and continuous delivery across environments.

GitHub Actions Automation
Develop and maintain CI/CD automation using GitHub Actions, including workflow creation, pipeline orchestration, and automated deployment of Talend artifacts across environments.

Automation Scripting for Deployment
Write and maintain automation scripts (Shell, Bash, Python, or similar) to automate Talend job packaging, artifact management, environment configuration, and deployment processes.

Secrets Management and Security Integration
Integrate Talend environments with HashiCorp Vault or similar secret management tools to securely manage credentials, tokens, and sensitive configuration parameters used by Talend jobs and pipelines.

Code Quality and Automated Review Enablement
Implement automated code review and quality validation mechanisms using tools such as SonarQube, GitHub code scanning, or similar solutions to enforce coding standards and identify defects early in the development cycle.

Establish Best Practices and Governance Standards
Define and enforce Talend development, deployment, and infrastructure best practices, including version control standards, CI/CD guidelines, environment configuration standards, and operational procedures to ensure maintainable and scalable Talend implementations.
