Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Commodity Management ABAP/RAP Consultant to design, develop, enhance, and support SAP S/4HANA Commodity Management solutions.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in ABAP, RAP, CDS Views, AMDP, Commodity Management, Commodity Pricing Engine (CPE), TSW Nomination, integrations, and Clean Core development practices. The consultant will work closely with functional consultants, Fiori/UI5 teams, onsite stakeholders, and offshore delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities
SAP S/4HANA Development
- Design, develop, and implement custom ABAP and RAP solutions within SAP S/4HANA Commodity Management.
- Develop and optimize CDS Views, AMDP logic, Open SQL, and HANA-optimized custom code.
- Build RAP-based business objects using CDS-based modeling, behavior definitions, behavior implementations, EML, and service bindings.
- Develop and maintain RICEF objects including reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms.
Commodity Management
- Support Commodity Management processes including trade processing, commodity pricing, and settlement.
- Develop and enhance solutions related to the Commodity Pricing Engine (CPE).
- Troubleshoot and enhance formula-based pricing scenarios,
/CPE/* tables, and relevant BAdIs.
- Enhance TSW Nomination and related commodity/trading processes.
- Collaborate with functional teams to translate commodity business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
Integration & APIs
- Develop and maintain OData V2/V4 services and API integrations.
- Work with BAPIs, RFCs, Web Services, and other SAP integration technologies.
- Develop secure and reusable integration solutions across SAP and external systems.
- Support integration requirements across Commodity Management and related business processes.
Extensibility & Clean Core
- Apply SAP Clean Core principles to custom development.
- Evaluate key-user, on-stack, and side-by-side extensibility options.
- Use Enhancement Framework, BAdIs, User Exits, Custom Fields, and Custom Logic appropriately.
- Ensure custom developments align with SAP S/4HANA development standards and governance.
Quality & Performance
- Perform debugging, code reviews, performance optimization, and production issue resolution.
- Conduct ATC checks and support custom-code remediation.
- Optimize SQL, CDS, AMDP, and HANA-based development for performance.
- Ensure compliance with security, governance, and development standards.
Project Delivery
- Prepare technical design specifications, estimates, unit-test documentation, and knowledge-transfer materials.
- Support SIT, UAT, cutover, go-live, and post-go-live activities.
- Coordinate effectively with onsite stakeholders and offshore development teams.
- Provide technical guidance and participate in solution-design discussions.
Required Qualifications
- 5–10+ years of hands-on SAP ABAP development experience.
- Strong SAP S/4HANA ABAP experience.
- Hands-on experience with ABAP OO, Classical ABAP, and RICEF development.
- Strong experience with SAP RAP.
- Experience with SAP Commodity Management and related trade processes.
- Experience with Commodity Pricing Engine, pricing, and settlement.
- Experience with CPE formula-based pricing,
/CPE/* tables, and BAdIs.
- Experience enhancing TSW Nomination.
- Strong knowledge of CDS Views, AMDP, Open SQL, and HANA optimization.
- Experience with OData, APIs, BAPIs, RFCs, and Web Services.
- Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA data models.
- Experience with SAP Clean Core and extensibility concepts.
- Strong debugging, performance-tuning, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SAP BTP and Business Application Studio.
- Knowledge of Adobe Forms, SmartForms, BRF+, and Flexible Workflow.
- Experience with Fiori/UI5 development teams.
- Knowledge of MM, SD, FI, PP, and EWM processes.
- Experience with S/4HANA custom-code remediation and ATC.
- Experience supporting global SAP implementations and distributed delivery teams.
